Junior EXPO 2025 Educational Program

This program aims to encourage children, who will be the future leaders of the future, to participate in the efforts towards the Osaka-Kansai Expo before the event, learn about the SDGs, come up with ideas for the theme of the Osaka-Kansai Expo, “Designing a Future Society for Life,” and increase their interest so that they will want to actually visit the Expo site in 2025.
In 2020, the program was targeted at elementary and junior high schools in Osaka Prefecture, in 2021 the Kansai region, in 2022 all of Japan, and in 2023 overseas educational facilities (Japanese schools overseas, etc.).
To participate in this program in 2024, please apply from the “2024 Participating Schools Recruitment” at the bottom of this page. We

Course Content

  • Elementary and junior high school teachers will use the dedicated teaching materials compiled by our association, such as textbooks and videos, to conduct lessons during comprehensive learning time to deepen understanding of the Expo and the SDGs.
  • We have prepared a “standard version” of about 10 hours and a “short version” of about 3 hours so that you can work on it according to your school’s curriculum. We also have an “English version” so that it can be worked on at international schools. However, you can also work on the class for only one hour.
  • We plan to hold “research meetings” in which companies working towards the SDGs will present the details of their initiatives and children will be able to ask questions about those initiatives in an online format.
